Secondly, the numbers behind the E or Edison is the diameter in mm measured across the peaks of the thread on the base
They have a different base design
What I think is that both of them serves the same purposes but they just use a different base design, there is no need to buy a converter, like E14 to E27. Just look at your Light Bulb Base to justify which bulb you are going to get, E14 or E27 LED Bulb.
What you need not worry is that nowadays about 99% of Big LED Light Bulb company they manufacture both E14 and E27 LED Bulb with the same design.
