First, LED String Light and LED Fairy Light often means the same product, or you can even call it Christmas Light. Of course, String light also comes in other forms of design. But the key idea here would be that LED String Light is any size of bulbs hanging from a cable, while LED Fairy Light is small size bulbs hanging from a cable.

–> Please be aware that if the LED String Light / Fairy Light is not waterproof, then it would not have an IP66 Icon (Most common) located on the product page.

I personally would suggest getting a USB cable instead of a Power Adapter, simply because you would have more choice to plug your LED String Light and LED Fairy Light. Thus the price between these two is around the same and serves the same function and purpose.
–> Look out for the warranty period, as the longer the warranty period lasts, the more confidence the sellers have in their quality of the product that they sold to you.
